Canadian rock band April Wine formed in 1969. The band made their home in Montreal after signing to Aquarius Records in 1970. They recorded and released their debut self-titled album April Wine in 1971. The album spawned their first single “Fast Train,” which received steady airplay on radio stations across Canada. The band recorded their second album On Record that immediately spawned the single “You Could Have Been a Lady,” originally recorded by Hot Chocolate. The song hit #1 on radio stations all across Canada, as well as cracking the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States where it stayed for eleven weeks.

April Wine has become an institutional Canadian stadium rock act with charted hits including:

“You Could Have Been A Lady” (1972)
“Roller” (1979)
“I Like To Rock” (1980)
“Just Between You and Me” (1981)
“Sign Of The Gypsy Queen” (1981)
“Enough Is Enough” (1982)
“If You See Kay” (1982)
“This Could Have Been The Right One” (1984)
“That’s Love” (1994)

After a short hiatus and eleven studio albums, the band reformed a couple years later at Myles Goodwyn’s home in Nassau to record what was supposed to be their final album Walking Through Fire, but the band has continued to release albums ever since. In March 2009, April Wine was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame during Canadian Music Week in Toronto. They also received The Lifetime Achievement Award for being part of Canadian music history for 40 years. In April 2010, the band was also inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

They will continue to tour throughout Canada and the United States and satisfy fans with a live mix of straight ahead rock n’ roll and power ballads, an April Wine mainstay.
