Etta James, the matriarch of soul R& B is at the Guthrie Monday, June 9th for a $45 ticket, and, between you and me, I don’t care if you could fit three Britney Spears in her tank, she is worth every pound . . . June 6 and 7, don’t miss the Dixie Chicks at Xcel Energy Center - please don’t hold it against them that George Bush is from the great state of Texas . . . I don’t care what you say, the show of the month is the Yardbirds at the Cabooze, Wednesday June 11th - classics such as “For Your Love,” “I’m A Man,” and “Still I’m Sad,” remain some of the best songs to ever cross the Atlantic . . . June 14th, it’s Classic Rock’s Main Event with Journey, Styx and REO Speedwagon, although Steve Perry, Dennis DeYoung, and Gary Richrath will not be on stage - I know, nobody cares? . . . Experience an “Even Flow” with Pearl Jam Riot Act Tour and special guests, Idlewild, June 16th, Xcel Energy Center . . . Let’s get extremely physical with Olivia Newton-John, June 19th at Mystic Lake Casino - not too bad for an Aussie over thirty/forty/fifty . . .
