Aaron Benward and Brian McComas created “Nashville Unplugged.” Both artists have had significant success in the music industry with combined album sales of over 1,000,000 copies and multiple Billboard #1 Hits.

"Nashville Unplugged: The Story Behind The Song" is a show that brings successful artists, singer/songwriters and live audiences together for a night of story telling and entertainment. It gives the audience a look behind the scenes at the emotions that inspired the music and how a song finds its way to the top of the charts. Songwriters like Paul Overstreet, Chris Wallin, Dennis Matkosky, Keith Anderson, and Bobby Pinson are just a few of the guests who have participated.

"We have been on affiliates of ABC, FOX, CBS, and NBC in the largest US markets because of the uniqueness of the show. Country Weekly (the most noted country music magazine) did an article on Nashville Unplugged’s rapid growth. This is completely different from the basic Nashville songwriters’ nights. Audience members can participate in "songs from the hat" by dropping an original song title into a hat before the show starts. We pick one title and during the show we write the song right there on the spot. We don't cheat or pre-plan it. It's a fun drill for us and the audience always gets a kick out of it,” McComas states.

One minute the audience is laughing and the next they are moved by the same story. The songwriter performs a song that rose from that experience, and the audience is given an entirely new appreciation for the song they already knew and loved. Watching the professionals do their job effortlessly during "songs from the hat" is a great bonus. Any way you cut it, people are plugging into "Nashville Unplugged".
